Iota Farming in In Falsus
Every hex piece you need starts with a Connect on the right chart.
Iota are the hexagonal crafting material that drives Card Integration. You earn them by clearing Encounters — not by grinding free-play songs. This guide explains what drops from which Encounter, what conditions unlock a drop, and how the farming planner computes the fastest order to close your collection gaps.
How Iota drops work
Every Encounter has a fixed drop pool of roughly 12 Iota pieces: four colors × three shapes, all at one Tier. When you Connect an Encounter, the game selects from that pool. The pool does not change based on difficulty or your current loadout — it is a fixed table per Encounter.
Drop conditions are binary. A run qualifies when both are true:
- Connect — you won the Resolve race. Your Total Power and the opponent’s attacks left you standing.
- Dive Clear or better — you finished the chart with HP above zero. Dive Failed pays nothing even if you Connect.
Full Link and Perfect Dive runs also qualify. Any result above Dive Clear works.
Reading drop pools
A typical Encounter drop pool from community captures:
| Color | Shape A | Shape B | Shape C |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red | Tier 1 piece | Tier 1 piece | Tier 1 piece |
| Green | Tier 1 piece | Tier 1 piece | Tier 1 piece |
| Purple | Tier 1 piece | Tier 1 piece | Tier 1 piece |
| Yellow | Tier 1 piece | Tier 1 piece | Tier 1 piece |
The pool is color-first and shape-first. If you need a specific Red hex of a specific shape, you farm the Encounter that drops Red in that shape — not any Red from any chart.
Community databases (such as infalsus.org/guides/database) list every known Encounter drop pool. Use them to target gaps rather than running random charts.
Farming strategy
The naive approach — running every Encounter once — works. It is also slow. A better approach:
- Open the Iota Farming Planner and filter by the colors and shapes your Blueprints actually need.
- The planner intersects your filter with every known Encounter drop pool and ranks sources by how many of your targets they cover.
- Run the top-ranked Encounter until your target pieces drop, then move to the next in the list.
The planner breaks ties toward easier charts. You spend time on Encounters that advance multiple gaps simultaneously.
Blueprint color requirements
Each of the five character Blueprints favors a specific color. A quick reference:
| Character | Blueprint | Color | What to farm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nia Cana | Path to Reality | Red | Red shapes first |
| Mei Alder | 4AM | Blue | Blue shapes first |
| Ayame Takatsuki | A Warm Gaze Seeking Others | Green | Green shapes first |
| Iris Leal | Lost Garden of Bonds | Yellow | Yellow shapes first |
| Story Étienne | First Drop of Abyss | Purple | Purple shapes first |
Match the color you are farming to the Blueprint you are building. A mismatched color still fills Zones and contributes to Power and Defense — but the color advantage cycle in Encounters means same-color cards resist same-color enemies.
Higher tiers and Infusion
Each character has an Infusion skill that gates which Iota tiers you may slot per color. Higher Infusion levels unlock higher tiers for that color. As you level a character, return to their Blueprint with better-tier pieces.
Demo players at 0.3.0 are working with a limited set of Encounters and tier-1 Iota. The farming planner tracks tier filtering so you do not grind tier-2 pieces before your Infusion allows them.
Practical farming checklist
- Pick the Blueprint you are building toward.
- Note the color and shapes its Zones require.
- Open the Iota Farming Planner and enter those filters.
- Run the top-ranked Encounter until you Connect and Dive Clear.
- Check whether the drop filled a gap. If yes, update the planner or your mental list.
- Repeat until your Blueprint is worth Integrate.
Do not over-farm in the demo. The 0.3.0 library is six songs. The launch roster expands every Encounter. The farming loop gets richer after September 9, not before.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for demo players and launch-week questions.
Do all Encounters drop Iota?
Every Encounter has a drop pool. If a chart is in the Scenario, it drops Iota when you Connect and Dive Clear.
Can I farm Iota in free-play mode?
No. Iota drops require Encounter conditions: Connect + Dive Clear. Free-play runs do not qualify.
Does difficulty affect drop quality?
Community captures show consistent pools across MIN/EVO/ULT for the same Encounter. Difficulty does not change the table.
Should I wait for launch to farm?
Demo Encounters have demo pools. The launch roster adds new Encounters with new pools. If your Blueprint needs a color the demo does not offer, wait. If the demo covers your gaps, start now.
