Card and Iota Database

This database page aggregates the known Blueprints, Iota types, Traits, and Encounter drop tables for In Falsus. It is a reference index — the actual interactive tools live at infalsus.org, and the primary guides on this wiki explain the systems. Use this page to look up a specific entry and jump to the relevant tool or guide.

Blueprints

Each of the five protagonists owns exactly one Blueprint. A loadout can never contain two cards from the same board.

See Card Integration for the full explanation of zones, penalties, and the stat formula. Use the Blueprint Solver to plan placements before you spend Iota.

Iota types

Iota are hexagonal pieces defined by five attributes:

  • Color — Red, Green, Purple, Yellow, or Blue. Determines which Blueprint zones a piece can empower and where it sits in the color advantage cycle.
  • Shape — The piece’s footprint on the hex grid. Shapes cannot be rotated or flipped.
  • Tier — The piece’s grade. Higher tiers are stronger; each character’s Infusion skill gates which tiers you can slot per color.
  • Potency — A number. Your card’s stats scale with average Potency ÷ 100, so weak filler pieces drag the whole card down.
  • Traits — Optional bonus effects carried by a piece. Traits need open Trait Slots on the Blueprint to activate.

Community captures suggest around 75 Iota kinds across all colors and shapes. The Blueprint Solver accepts individual piece data so you can test whether a specific Iota improves any active Blueprint.

Traits reference

Traits are bonus effects carried by individual Iota. They activate only when the Iota sits in an open Trait Slot on the Blueprint. Stronger variants (marked ++) appear on higher-tier pieces.

TraitEffect
Opening Recovery++Heals 11% of Resolve at the start of the encounter.
Opening Surge++Deals opening damage equal to 0.11 × Total Power.
Inner Concentration++Multiplies the card’s Power by ×1.66.
Inner Rigor++Multiplies the card’s Defense by ×1.66.

The full trait list in the game extends beyond these four. Filter traits in-game by category: In Discovery, In Mastery, Mastered, No Traits, With Traits.

Encounter drop tables

Each Encounter has a fixed drop pool of roughly 12 Iota pieces: four colors × three shapes, all at one Tier. The pool does not change based on difficulty or loadout.

To find which Encounter drops a specific Iota you need:

  1. Note the color and shape of the missing piece.
  2. Open the Iota Farming Planner and enter those filters.
  3. The planner ranks Encounters by how many of your targets they cover.

See Iota Farming for the full drop condition rules (Connect + Dive Clear required).

Color advantage cycle

Colors beat each other in a one-directional cycle worth ×1.25 damage:

Red → Green → Purple → Yellow → Blue → Red

Red beats Green, Green beats Purple, Purple beats Yellow, Yellow beats Blue, Blue beats Red. Attacking against the cycle gets you no advantage. Check the encounter’s color before you lock a loadout.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for demo players and launch-week questions.

How many Iota types exist in the full game?

Community sources suggest around 75 Iota kinds across all colors and shapes. The exact count may grow with post-launch updates.

Can I use the same Iota on multiple Blueprints?

Yes, but the same color Iota fits different boards differently due to zone layouts. Test placements on the Blueprint Solver before committing.

Do higher-tier Iota always make stronger cards?

Higher tiers have higher Potency, but average Potency across all placed Iota matters. One tier-3 among tier-1 fillers still drags the average down.

Where do I find the drop table for a specific Encounter?

Use the Iota Farming Planner at infalsus.org/tools/iota-farming and filter by the color and shape you need. The planner shows which Encounter drops match.
