In Falsus Iris Leal

Iris Leal is the protagonist whose official quote sounds like a fight lesson, not a school motto. She is 16, enrolled at Oskar Beck High School, and lives with her parents and younger sister. Voice actor: Ayame Fujikami (藤上あやめ).

Surviving comes down to three lessons: swing first, guard up, and swing to hurt. The only people who complain about cheap shots in a fight are the ones left on the ground.

Observer Comment:

Lives with her parents and younger sister. I think I’ll go to meet her first. She will not be at school, so the message otherwise wouldn’t reach her. Can’t misstep here, or she will be expelled before the offer is extended. Charming and violent, and we share hobbies. Friendless, but she wasn’t always.

That Comment is the most plot-shaped of the five. Someone intends to approach her off campus. Expulsion is on the table if the approach is clumsy. She used to have friends. The government program’s “offer” already has a shadow on her page, and we still will not spoil what the offer is.

Trailer function: the Bind as color

Gameplay trailer lines give Iris the bleeding-Bind beat: she tells Nia the color is nice. In a world where collars display emotion, treating the leak as aesthetic is either cruelty, intimacy, or both. It is also why Iris is a strong Encounter character: she will not pretend the playfield is polite.

If you start with Nia, Iris is the shock. If you start with Mei, Iris is the body where Mei is the 4AM studio. If you start with Ayame, Iris is the person who hits instead of catching lies with manners.

Demo 0.3.0

The April 22, 2026 update added two new voiced Scenario entries. Community notes centre them on Mei and Iris. If you updated the demo to hear more novel, Iris is one of the two names the patch actually expanded. That still is not her launch route. It is extra sample.

Playing Iris without turning her into a difficulty setting

Iris’s personality is not ULT. You can play her perspective on MIN. Please do. The quote wants violence; the chart still wants EXACT. Mixing those up is how people break their hands and then blame the character.

1. Select Iris on the five-icon bar.
2. Do not skip the family-and-sister context if a scene offers it. The Comment bothers to mention the sister for a reason.
3. When an Encounter starts, read encounters if the dual score confuses you, then play.
4. If her “swing first” energy makes you mash keys, stop and reopen controls.

Contrast with Story

Story Étienne is a Mute who chose not to broadcast. Iris broadcasts with her fists and with a Bind she will comment on like a critic. Both are 16. Both are isolated in different directions — Iris friendless-but-wasn’t-always, Story’s prior friendships redacted. Playing both back to back is a good demo plan if you already finished the Akie High pair.

Who should start with Iris

Players who want a combat-forward VN heroine without a male-gaze disclaimer paragraph. Players who heard the Bind-color line and wanted the speaker. Players who are fine with a Comment that already smells like recruitment. Players who will still play MIN.
