Arcaea vs In Falsus
Same studio. Different limb. Do not import your Future constant onto MIN 2.
lowiro made Arcaea first: a mobile (and later Switch) lane game with sky notes and twisting arcs. In Falsus is the studio’s second original title, built for PC Steam, with a mouse-driven aerial Field and a long Japanese-voiced Scenario. Players who treat the new game as “Arcaea with extra keys” bounce off the demo. This page is the translation layer.

Platform and product
| Arcaea | In Falsus | |
|---|---|---|
| Platforms | iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch | Windows via Steam |
| Input | Touch (or Switch controls) | Keyboard Floor + mouse Field |
| Structure | Music-first, story logs as unlocks | Scenario-first, Encounters as scenes |
| Voice | Limited / partner lines | Full Japanese voice acting at launch |
| Economy | Fragments, memories, partners | Iota, Blueprints, up to five Cards |
| Multiplayer | Not a shared-session title in the usual sense | Single-player only |
Steam lists In Falsus as Playable on Deck, not Native. Arcaea’s phone muscle memory does not include a mouse flick.
Notes that look related and are not
Arcaea sky notes and arcs live above four floor lanes. In Falsus Floor lanes go up to six keys (default Left Shift, A, S, D, F, Space) and the Field is a second judgement line driven by cursor motion, including yellow-left and green-right flicks. MINIMAL charts drop you to four keys on purpose. That is why veterans still belong on MIN once: the new limb is the mouse, not another trill.
Judgement vocabulary does not carry. Arcaea PURE/FAR talk will not label an EXACT popup. Score in In Falsus is accuracy-first on the big number, with a separate Encounter Score and stars when cards are in play. Read scoring before you screenshot a combo and call it a partner skill.
Story shape
Arcaea’s world is abstract: Hikari, Tairitsu, glass memories. In Falsus is a near-future high school under a Shroud, with Binds that display emotion and deceit, and five selectable perspectives (Nia, Mei, Ayame, Iris, Story Étienne). You do not level a partner; you pick a route. The character hub and Scenario guide are the right next tabs.
Cards are not Arcaea partners. Integrating Iota into a Blueprint is a hex puzzle with Overload and Out of Bounds penalties. Equip up to five Cards. They ride Encounters; they do not skip notes. See card integration.
The Cryogenic bridge
Camellia ft. Petra Gurin’s Cryogenic is an In Falsus original that also appeared in Arcaea Version 6.13 World Mode for a limited window, then Memory Archive. That is a song collab, not a chart port. Playing Cryogenic in Arcaea does not teach Field flicks. Playing it on In Falsus MIN 2 does. The official Camellia audio lives on the known song list.
MIRINAE (TAK × Zekk) is listed in community tables as an Arcaea original appearing on later In Falsus wheels. Same warning: new engine, new numbers.
What to unlearn in the first hour
- Do not open ULT because you play FTR 10 in Arcaea.
- Do not skip Scenario text to “get to the pack.” The song is the scene.
- Do not hunt fragments or map tickets. Wishlist Steam and play the demo.
- Do not expect a mobile port announcement in this wiki. None has been posted.
If the comparison still feels like a skill issue, it is probably binds. Stay on the keybind planner until MIN EXACTs return, then climb with difficulties. Same studio, different game. That is the whole point of a second title.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for demo players and launch-week questions.
Can I use an Arcaea controller or tablet layout?
In Falsus is designed around mouse plus keyboard. Experiments exist; they are not official. See controls.
Is Cryogenic the same chart in both games?
No. Same song, different engine. Arcaea hosted it in 6.13 World Mode. In Falsus prints MIN 2 / EVO 5 / ULT 9 on the demo wheel.
Will In Falsus get Arcaea-style World Mode?
Not announced. The PC loop is Scenario, Encounters, and Iota. Watch updates.
Should Arcaea players skip the demo?
No. The demo is where the mouse Field is taught. Start at getting started.
