In Falsus Story Étienne
A Mute by choice, with two hundred million works in the way.
Story Étienne is the protagonist whose name is already a thesis. She is 16, enrolled at Xenia Academy, transferred from overseas a few years ago, and lives in her school’s dorms. Voice actor: Mirii Saito (齊藤未莉依). Japanese rendering: ストーリー・エティエンヌ. Traditional Chinese: 斯多麗・艾蒂安.
Official voice
There are over 200 million works about it. I’ve read through almost 300 of those. Not everything written has worth… with time, you’re able to discern.
Observer Comment:
Transferred to this country a few years ago from overseas, and now lives in her school’s dorms. Her family situation will not be discussed. She’s a Mute, apparently. It seems she chose to be one around when she transferred. Honestly a fiercely voracious reader… that is understandable. Her record and previous friendships will also not be discussed.
The redactions are the character. A wiki that fills those blanks before launch is inventing.
What Mute means here
In a world where Binds display emotion and deceit, a Mute is someone who does not participate in that broadcast. Story chose it around the transfer. It is not a difficulty modifier and not a silent-protagonist gimmick for the player. Other people still speak. She still has Japanese voice acting in the product’s promise. Mute is a Bind status, explained in vocabulary form on the Scenario page.
If you wanted a heroine who cannot be read by the collar, she is the one. If you wanted a heroine who cannot be read by the file clerk, she is also the one: family, record, prior friends, all refused.
How she sits with the other four
Nia wants not to think about the future. Story has already read 300 works about “it” and is sorting them. Mei performs and hides in movies. Story hides in volume count. Ayame will know a lie in conversation. Story opted out of the Bind’s version of that knowledge. Iris swings. Story discerns.
Play her last if you want the cast to escalate from nervous to violent to redacted. Play her first if you like VN heroines who talk like bibliographies.
Playing Story in the demo
She is on the five-icon bar. Selecting her is a perspective switch, not an unlock puzzle.
- Let her talk about worth and writing. The 200 million / 300 statistic is characterization, not a lore number you need to verify on Wikipedia.
- Keep Encounters on MIN. Mute does not mean easier Field flicks.
- Do not hunt a “Mute ending” guide. The full game is still dated September 9, 2026.
- If the Bind system is still fuzzy, read story before her second scene.
Name, language, and search tips
Search engines will mangle Étienne. This wiki uses Story Étienne in titles and Story Etienne in a few SEO strings so queries still hit. She is not “Story” as in the mode name, even though the game’s visual-novel layer is also called Scenario. If a menu says Scenario, it means the ADV. If a menu says Story, look at the icon: white-haired girl, purple tile in the demo bar.
Who should start with Story
Players who like withheld dossiers. Players who have already met Nia and Mei and want the tone to drop. Players who care about Bind mechanics more than school-slice mood. Players who will not fill the redacted family line with a headcanon essay and then argue with strangers.
For the rest of the cast, the character hub is the index. For music-game practice between scenes, use beginner songs. Story’s unread 199,999,700 works can wait until the launch client exists.
