In Falsus Scoring and Judgement

In Falsus shows you two kinds of numbers during a song, and players mash them together because both sit at the top of the HUD. This page separates them. It does not invent millisecond windows that lowiro has not published. If a charting Discord posts ±18 ms as fact, treat it as unverified until it is in a patch note or an official manual.

What you can see in the demo

On a Hyaloüyne capture the playfield prints EXACT over well-timed Floor hits. That is the visible judgement name. Community documentation describes four timing-based judgements whose point value depends on the chart’s note count. We can say, honestly:

• Hits are graded by timing, not by a separate “cool” meter.
• The primary performance score is accuracy-first.
• A miss or a wide hit costs more than a slightly late EXACT because the pool is divided across the whole chart.

Until lowiro publishes the four names and their windows, do not memorize fan spreadsheets as law. Watch the popup. If it is not EXACT, you were late or early. Slow down before you raise difficulty.

Performance score versus Encounter Score

The giant top-left number (formatted with apostrophes, like 004’764’718) is the music-game score. Near it, Encounter Score can appear with a star rating (example: 151’343). Card art along the left edge is your loadout. Those cards feed the Encounter layer. They do not rewrite every Floor judgement into a Perfect from Arcaea.

Practical rule:

• Want a clean chart? Chase EXACT on Floor and Field.
• Want the story fight to resolve well? Keep a sane card loadout and do not eat every penalty on the Blueprint. See card integration and encounters.

If you ignore cards entirely, you can still learn timing. You will simply be playing half of the product lowiro is shipping.

Combo is not the headline

Some rhythm games pay you for a full combo even when your windows were sloppy. In Falsus marketing and wiki notes both stress accuracy as the main performance mechanism. A long combo with mid judgements is a worse habit than a broken combo with EXACT taps. Practice for the popup, not for a number that looks like a phone number.

Difficulty is a scoring choice

MIN 2, EVO 5, ULT 9 on Cryogenic are not cosmetic labels. They change note count, lane use, and Field density, which changes how much each judgement is worth. Playing ULT “for the score screenshot” while you cannot EXACT MIN is how you teach your hands the wrong timing. FBD remains locked in demo captures. There is no scoring trick to open it.

Result screen habits

After a chart:

1. Look at judgement counts, not only the big score.
2. Note whether Field flicks or Floor chords caused the non-EXACT pile.
3. Look at Encounter stars separately. If they are low while EXACTs are high, your cards or fight choices lagged. If stars are fine and EXACTs are not, you got carried by a loadout and still need controls work.
4. Replay the same difficulty. Jumping EVO to ULT to “fix” a score is noise.

What we will update after September 9

Launch may publish official window tables, grade names beyond EXACT, and maybe a ranking or lamp system. This page will follow patch notes on updates. Until then, the honest advice is small: hit EXACT, keep the mouse honest, and stop treating Encounter stars as a bug overlay.
